Managing Your Menopause
Working with Homeopathy
Homeopathy is about listening carefully to what patients say in my homeopathic clinics. Taking time, asking the right questions, thinking a lot and waiting. This process allows me to help patients optimise and maintain their individual level of health and wellbeing through the prescription of homeopathic remedies.
Patients arrive with their own particular set of symptoms making each clinic a new, and sometimes challenging, experience. Some patients will visit only a few times, others will decide that homeopathy is their preferred therapy and return as needed over the years.
During more than 20 years of practice I have developed a particular interest in hormonal imbalances that can affect many patients of all ages from pre-puberty on into their adult life. Menstrual, perimenopausal, menopausal and post menopausal symptoms experienced by girls and women is where homeopathy can be really helpful. This often provides relief from emotional and physical symptoms and can be an alternative to conventional treatments that do not always suit everyone.
I am constantly extending my knowledge to achieve the best possible results for all my patients through professional CPD [Continuing Professional Development] as well as attending homeopathic seminars, workshops and peer group supervision.
MY QUALIFICATIONS
I trained at The London School of Classical Homeopathy [MLSCH] 1993-1998. Then I obtained my registration with The Society of Homeopaths [RSHom] in 2000 completing their 2 year supervised accreditation programme.
This particular therapeutic method was developed in Germany 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann. Since then homeopathy’s popularity has spread throughout the world. It has evolved to provide a complete system of medicine for many people. In the UK 12% of the population, nearly 8 million, now trust and use homeopathy on a regular basis.
AND A BIT ABOUT ME
I have worked in Hampshire and West Sussex since 1997 with established homeopathic clinics online, in Petersfield, Fareham and Midhurst. I see national and international patients of all ages with many varying symptoms both physical and emotional.
Before I trained as a homeopath I worked in the arts and media in the UK and abroad. In my travels overseas I encountered many different approaches to health. This sparked my interest in alternative ways of managing my own health. I definitely benefited from this more holistic approach and started to use homeopathy for my three children as well. To find out more I embarked on a foundation year at LSCH and soon I was hooked.
